NO HOUSE,
NO RAKE
The money stays locked between you and your opponent until the game is settled. No one else takes a cut.
> GAME ON _
Play games that only work on Chia, built by partners on a blockchain with primitives made for real gameplay, not just transactions.
The money stays locked between you and your opponent until the game is settled. No one else takes a cut.
Moves go straight to your opponent, off-chain and instant.
The chain enforces the rules, not a server you have to trust.
// FOR DEVELOPERS
Every blockchain picks a first-class object to track state. Ethereum chose accounts, for programmability. Bitcoin chose UTXOs, for simplicity. Chia chose coins, self-contained, programmable, and spendable exactly once, which turns out to be the right shape for a two-player game as much as for a payment.
Two players lock coins into a shared channel and play entirely off-chain from there, exchanging signed moves directly, turn by turn, through what Chia calls the Potato Protocol. The blockchain doesn't see any of it happening in real time. It only gets touched to open the channel, close it, or settle a dispute, the same state-channel idea that makes Bitcoin's Lightning Network fast, generalized to handle a full game board instead of just a balance.
01
Account-based chains store a channel as a slot inside a shared contract. On Chia it's a specific coin, so auditing means looking at one coin's spend conditions, not a global storage slot everyone else is also touching.
02
You keep a copy of every turn. If the other player tries to end the game on an earlier turn, the chain enforces the latest one.
03
Off-chain game state is validated with the exact same Chialisp code that runs on-chain. If a channel unrolls, that virtual state materializes into real coins, no separate app-side and chain-side logic to keep in sync.
04
Each game inside a channel is its own coin, structurally isolated. A dispute in one game never blocks the progress or payout of another running alongside it.
Gaming on Chia is built as a shared standard, not a single company's store. A player app is where you play. A hub is where you find a game and an opponent. Any player app can use any hub. Two player apps that support the same game can play each other.
"Any player app can work with any hub, any two player apps can talk to each other as long as they play shared games."

Multi-hop settlement using the coin-set model, the same idea behind Lightning routing, extended to atomic cross-asset swaps.
Bringing Chia Asset Tokens into channels, so a wager isn't limited to XCH.
Moving routine transfers off-chain to keep fees low, even during peak congestion.
Chia's gaming primitives handle the parts that usually break a decentralized game: moves the chain enforces, wagers that stay in players' wallets, and turns that resolve directly between opponents. Build two-player, turn-based games and the systems around them, tournaments, brackets, meta-game mechanics that hold up at ten players or ten thousand. What used to take a custom protocol per game now starts from a shared foundation.
"The technical load on Chia gaming infrastructure is very low, due to it being super-optimized for keeping the load on-chain down."

A complete framework for developers, hubs, and players. Gaming on Chia is open source and consensus-driven, built with partners rather than owned by one.
