Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve entered into an agreement with NoSSD as we head toward the release of Proof of Space 2.0 and Chia 3.0.
NoSSD built exceptional plotting technology and fostered an engaged global community, and we’re grateful for their efforts. Their work opened Chia and its community up to folks around the world and their tools made plotting, and securing the network, simple.
What does this mean for you?
Not too much just yet!
The NoSSD pool will be in operation until Proof of Space 1.0 plots are no longer valid on the Chia blockchain, at which point the NoSSD team would like to start a fresh journey and begin building something new. They will not update to the upcoming new plot format.
Next Steps:
Soon we will finalize CHIP 48 and CHIP 49 on the latest plot format updates, and with the release of Chia 3.0, we’ll release the new software for plotting with the updated format.
